One of the great things about living in Thurston is the pride we take in our community. We love our Red and Black, and it shows. We have more kids turn out for football than any other community in our area, and you cannot go a day without bumping into a kid wearing a Thurston football shirt. Our sports fields however do not reflect that same pride or passion. Most of the communities in our area have all weather surfaces to play on, with lights for night time practice, and with sufficient seating for fans. Our community has the resources and people to fix this, and you are going to begin to hear more about Fix Thurston’s Fields campaigns, starting with getting an all weather playing surface on our high school field.
